My First FBLA Journey

As a new member of FBLA, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect going into the State Leadership Conference. I had heard people talk about it like how exciting it was, how much energy the event had but nothing could’ve prepared me for just how incredible the experience would be.

From the moment I arrived, I was surrounded by people who shared the same drive, ambition, and passion for leadership and business. Competing at states wasn’t just about presenting or testing it was about growing, learning, and pushing myself in ways I hadn’t before. And going 3 for 3 on my events? That was just one of the best parts of the trip. It gave me a huge confidence boost and showed me just how far I could go if I worked hard and believed in myself.

One of my favorite parts was getting to know other members I hadn’t really talked to before. States gave us the time and space to bond not just as competitors, but as teammates and friends. Whether we were hyping each other up before events, telling stories after awards, or just hanging out in between sessions, those connections made the whole experience even more meaningful.

Now, with nationals on the horizon, I’m more excited than ever. I can’t wait to compete again, meet new people from across the country, and represent everything I’ve worked so hard for this year. If states was this amazing, I can only imagine how unforgettable nationals will be!
